What do you do while you wait a year?

What do most of you do while you wait a year for your trailer to be built?

Work on the build sheet. It seems endless at times.
Decide on a tow vehicle. Watch lots of Youtube videos reviewing tow vehicles.
Buy stuff for the trailer and store it in boxes in the basement.
Visit this forum almost every day to find answers and guidance on what to include in the build sheet, which tow vehicle to buy and what stuff to buy for the trailer.

You could buy a used trailer, to use temporarily. It will probably make you appreciate your new one even more when you get it.

If you want custom upholstery and/or Formica, don't delay! Those two things took me longer to find and make a decision than everything else.

Get your tow vehicle lined up or purchased.....do some modifications to it to make it better for towing.

Do the build sheet, redo the build sheet and then change it again.

I hear that! I have a 2006 Silverado 1500HD and I'm also looking at replacing that so its a double whammy.

The little GMC pickup with the duramax diesel looks good but now you are talking 60K plus all in.

It's a big world. See some of the places a trailer won't go.

Live life as you normally do and one day before you know it, you will have an e-mail saying that your build sheet is due in a couple of weeks. Loren

I think he means another brand of trailer - like a used sticky that will at least get you out camping while you wait. Some can be had for very little money.

In addition to working on the build sheet, I spent a great deal of time measuring and packing the items from the previous trailer that we considered "essential" for the return trip from Chilliwack. By the time I was done, just about every cubic inch in the tow vehicle was accounted for.

Hung around here buying too much stuff from Amazon, this forum will do that to you. A couple weeks at St John USVI and a couple in Asheville helped to pass the time.

I measured my truck bed and laid out tape on my dining room floor and started packing containers for the trip out without a trailer and the trip home with Prairie Schooner, linens, dishes, toiletries, dog stuff, passports, tools, camping items....

Pretty much like everybody who has answered! I think I may have found some mirrors for my Cayon based on a recommendation found on the forum earlier today. I have a couple of bins going for the Escape trousseau as well as a lengthy "wish list" on Amazon.
I will be at the Niagara get together in a few weeks, sans trailer in the motel, with camera and notepad. Perhaps someone will demo a dump!
You Tube, this forum, the Airstream forum along with Pinterest and other sites including nautical. And so on....
