Canadian bank collection fees

How do others in the US "get around" paying a bank collection fee on checks from Escape? Banks that I deal with, charge this fee on all checks that I receive from Escape. The amount is $10 to $15 depending on the bank. If there is no way of avoiding this, I wonder if Escape could pay by Amazon gift card or some other means.

If I was collecting checks from Escape, I would have no gripes at all. Loren

All checks I have ever gotten from Escape have been drawn in US funds from a US bank. Did they mix up your country? Always deposited into my credit union account with no fees.

Hi: kstock11... On that account... I'd change banks. Sounds like they don't trust anyone!!! Alf

The bank they used was Vancouver City Savings Credit Union. US funds, but Canadian Bank. Have used 3 different banks, all charged a "collection" fee. Just looking for an alternative to adding to the banks profit.

If you have a mortgage, line of credit, savings you can suggest you are going to look for another bank to work with.
