Shutting down factual discussion that you disagree with is a disservice to the group.
What is to be gained by discussing interpretations and facts regarding Escape's business practises? You are not going to change peoples opinions, nor the company practises.

Canadians are hurting big time with the CAD so weak against the USD right now. Escape has to spend USD on most of their products, though not labour.

I sure wish the agenda here when Jeff started the forum in 2008, where we just discussed trailer options and modifications, as well as being a friendly community where lots of camping and other social items were discussed. Things do change......

Jeff and I discussed problematic threads and posts when he first started the forum, making me moderator.

We planned to create a special forum for political and other problem threads, but never did, mostly because it was never necessary.
I've not seen flame wars here. I've seen discussion and opposing opinions ( some that do go on and on ). I've seen nothing that threatens. If one disagrees, one can always skip a post or ignore a poster.

Not sure why some threads are closed, especially since the discussion will pop up somewhere else shortly after. Case in point.

This just would not work out good. I belong to a canoeing forum that has an "Off Topic" forum. Sadly things, especially feelings, seem to not stay there and have an effect on the other forums meant to discuss things about canoeing.

You will never change anyone's mind with discussion on social media with anything discussed politically.

I'm not sure you'll change anyone's mind on social media, political or otherwise.

WOW, this is very wise and hopefully I will recall this quote when I am tempted to do just that.

Are you going to change the ring gear too? If you’re running 4:11 gears then song says you can really get lost. Stay safe Alf and Mary Ann. Here’s a twist, Cedar Ridge is using some of their alcohol for hand sanitizer. Gotta do what you gotta do.

Foreign denominated accounts

Many US banks offer accounts denominated in foreign currency. Put your funds to pay for the trailer in such an account and you will effectively be hedging currency fluctuations
