Need Escape Appraiser in WA

Since lenders will not make payment to a Canadian company we chose an alternate route to finance our escape. We need to find an Escape appraiser north of Seattle who knows the worth/value of the escape so that we can refinance as an RV loan and save on interest. I am looking for referrals for a good Escape Appraiser, your help is appreciated!

Maybe I'm missing something but if you are buying new from Escape, then the value is exactly what Escape charges for the trailer. You can get that documentation directly from Escape.

Our Lender is requiring an appraisal since the Escape is not valuated in/by NADA. I contacted Escape Trailer Industries and they do not report to NADA

You'll find NADA means nothing in the all-molded fiberglass world due to most sales are private transactions and that info is never known by NADA. NADA gets their information from RV sales lots. And you'd certainly never use NADA for any kind of insurance claim on an all-molded towable. Because they're consistently, consistently under valued.

Open to suggestions for lenders that will finance/refinance a newly purchased escape for full purchase value without an appraisal.

Get a home equity loan, that way is simpler and may help with taxes.

yes i went with the home equity option and half with cash. Key bank was willing to finance it but the interest was higher.

"Since lenders will not make payment to a Canadian company..."

If that is your lenders only objection, here is a possibility.

When I order my Porsche 911 Turbo S Convertible, in my dreams that is, it will be manufactured in Germany, exported to the States then sold to me through a stateside dealer. Financed routinely by US banks.

Escape has, or will soon have, a dealership in Lake Havasu City, AZ.

Escape is manufactured in Canada, could be exported to the States then sold to me through a stateside dealer. Just like my fantasy Porsche would be.

I would contact the ETI business manager and inquire if the transaction could be run through Lake Havasu. If so, I would take the documentation showing a purchase through the AZ dealer to the bank. Or to a different bank, and see what they say. Now you have a very routine sale of an imported product being financed by a US bank.

You could still pick it up in WA. The only change is in the documentation showing the AZ dealer.

Can't hurt to ask.

Already tried that route. The AZ affiliate is an embassador only

That's a shame.

If ETI is counting on a significant expansion in the US market, they are going to have to overcome this lending issue.

One way would be to establish a relationship with a US based lender.

With time that must happen but that doesn't help you today.

Have you thought of dealing with one of the major Canadian Banks that have branches in the US.? BMO, ScotiaBank and the Royal Bank all have branches situated across the US. As a Canadian, I can’t get a mortgage from a US bank to buy a house in Phoenix, but a Canadian bank who operates in the US sure will. Just a thought.
