We didnt need the retirement trailer for 5 more years when we got the last 2015 build slot and locked in the 2015 price. This was a big part of the discussion we had when we decided to purchase. There have been so many price increases in the years since that in hindsight it was a great decision,
If ur on the fence, and maybe not needing the trailer yet, this is a good topic for deciding to buy now or not. Rare that vehicles come down in price and these at least retain resale value if you find you need to get out later.

It seems like a family business would have to put on a surcharge for something so totally out of their control. I sure want Escape Industries to thrive and continue to provide such excellent trailers and support for those trailers. Think about it: if the US/Canadian exchange rate goes up or down - the price also varies if one has not locked in the exchange rate by either paying early or opening a Canadian funded account in Canada or in the US. I am concerned that this trade war problem could escalate before it gets better. I hope not.

ETI is one of many RV related companies whose business is being impacted by the tariffs. This was posted by Panther RV products.

"The Recreational Vehicle Industry was hit hard recently due the new overseas tariffs. At Panther RV Products we have been contacted by the majority of our suppliers notifying us of across the board price increases in order to remedy the new fees for manufacturing overseas.

Unfortunately, this will affect all aftermarket retailers and repair shops around the U.S. who work with major companies such as Lippert and Dometic. Inevitably, these increases being put on the retailers will drive up the cost of RVing due to the price tag of repairs for the RV community."

I agree with above statement... the Escape is simply the best deal for the money out there; and you really can't beat the quality; it just sells itself... we shopped for over a year for ours and so far so good...

Happy trails everyone!

Tariff is just another word for "tax".

Hi Maria! How have things been going? Do you have any questions on winterizing or the propane system?
