To my fellow US residents who are lucky enough to own an Escape and who spent a few days/weeks seeing a bit of British Columbia after picking up your trailer:
Did you obtain/need a temporary travel permit for Canada in addition to all the documentation provided by Escape? I have proof of insurance and the little yellow cards provided by both my auto and trailer insurance companies allowing me to drive and tow in Canada. Do I need a temporary travel permit as well?
No temporary permit needed, just your passport. Make sure your new trailer will be on your insurance. If you're bringing a pet you'll need proof of rabies vaccination. Get an international roaming plan for your cellular/data service if you don't want a huge bill waiting for you upon return to the US.
