Have anyone used XE to do EFT to ETI since December 2014? I have emailed and called ETI and I have not been able to get any information regarding their account on Vancity. Every email/phone call resulting in me being given instruction for Wire transfer to Citizens Bank (got those pages 3 times in my inbox!), which will not be usable according to this thread. Can anyone please help? Thanks!

Anyone have the Vancity info? I tried to get it from Tammy, but she sent me the same wire transfer info as last time. For some reason my credit union is unable to process the transfer with the information she sends. They claim the account number at Wells Fargo is wrong and the transfer will not go through. I ended up sending a cashier's check last time, but that cost me more in postage than the wire transfer would have--if I could have done it.

Wire transfer info may be different from EFT transfer info. Pretty sure.

After all this time, I just don't understand why this is so difficult to get the correct information. An electronic fund transfer (EFT) is totally different from a wire transfer. To do an EFT (via XE or probably anyone else) one only needs ETI's VanCity Savings Credit Union account number for the branch located on Luckakuck Way. Easy peasy. I have their account number from 2013 but hesitate to give it out in case it has changed. Perhaps Sematz will come through via a PM.

Did you know what fee you would have from Wells Fargo? They may have a fee on top of another fee.

Did 3 wire transfers from a brokerage account with no fees. Just verify with ETI they have received funds.

Again, there is a difference between EFTs (through ETI's VanCity) and wire transfers (through ETI's Wells Fargo). The difference can involve cost and time depending on what is important to the consumer; EFTs can be cheaper but wire transfers can be quicker. Here's an explanation:

And be aware that there are always fees. There's no free lunch here whether the fees are explicitly stated or are in the form a higher/lower exchange rate.

Sent you a private message with info. Definitely do a test send to make sure it works. We finished paying off ours in April so it should. Make sure you tell Tammy it's an EFT to their Vancity CU account so they don't look for a wire transfer to the account they gave you. My contact info should be in the message if you need to call me.
