Thank you all for your comments and overwhelming support at the Escape Rally for the key chains, earrings, and other fibreglass glamping goodies. The response has provided me the encouragement to produce additional Escape specific "items". For those not at the rally I will post information on our full selection and ordering as soon as I get home.

Will key chain be available for the new 2017 Ultra 19/21 models or just for the Classics?

2017 Ultra model

Judging by the awning on the keychain trailer, it is the 2017 model.

Yes, figured since we have "Classic" Escapes we need a name for the "new" ones and "Ultra" seemed to fit the bill nicely! 😃

I received a couple of these a few weeks ago for my 2 sets of trailer keys. They are even nicer in hand than in the photos. Highly recommend!

I'm using the term "2nd Gen" that someone else suggested for the new models.

But I think ETI has changed the look of their trailers before?? So wouldn't 3rd Gen be more correct?

Couldn't tell ya, Karen. I'm only going by the term someone else posted that has far more time on this forum than I do and far more knowledge of the Escape trailers. And if they did make some changes, it was before "my time".

Except for minor changes to the taillight area, rockguard, wheel wells, etc, the Escape shell has remained basically unchanged until the new 2017.

Only if you were to consider the 5.0 and 5.0TA to be the same model, and only for that model.

I agree. I would even consider the 5.0 and 5.0TA to be distinct models, so there was only one generation of the 13', 15', and 5.0... and now there is a second generation of the 17', 19', 21', and 5.0TA (coming).

Golly, I've seen pics of their really early 17s and thought they looked a whole lot different from the exterior. Wrong again, I guess.

Maybe there's just something which changed that that I forgot
The shape - including features such as the stepped line in the lower body - has been the same since the original Trillium of the 1970's. The propane tanks were originally mounted differently, so they're a lot more prominent in the new position. The optional front box is relatively new, but that's just an add-on.

I think the newer ones just have different graphics, tend to have more stuff on them (storage box, solar panels, optional windows, exterior lights...), and sit higher due to taller suspension.

The first photo below is a 2006 17B ; the second is a recent (I think) 17 from the Escape Trailer website.

I was once told by an owner there was a minor dimensional change between their 2005 and my 2009 17B, but I don't recall the details, something to do with the bathroom, I think.
I'm just calling the new ones 'Slabsides' seems descriptive...

I am unsure as to whether or not Ian mentioned this in his post but we do have some key chains available in the office for sale on his behalf.

Just ask Sarah the next time you are in.

Are you planning to make an Escape 5.0TA?
