Extra firm mattress for a 17 foot trailer. Good shape. Always slept with a foamie on top.

I may be very interested. I have a 17 on order for Apr/17. Just wondering if there is any change in size/shape for the 2017. I will contact ETI. I'm in Albert - any chance you would be able to take it to ETI?

Sorry for the delay, just saw this. I know that there is a difference between the 17B and A where the bed is at the front.

Are you still interested?

So how wide is the mattress? I emailed Tammy and she said the bed in the 2017 17B will be 52", rather than 49" in the 2016.

Folks:
Does anyone know for sure where Escape got the additional 3" width for the bed in the new 2017 17Bs? If the trailer has not increased in length (17'8"), then it would seem that increasing the bed width to 52" would have to come from the counter space--is this correct? As current owners of a 2015 17B, we would like a slighty wider bed, but not sure if we would be willing to give up counter space to get it--and unlikely to be replacing our trailer anyway. Thanks to anyone who has current information on this.
Thanks,
Dave

Yes, the counter space is smaller and unfortunately so are the drawers.
It is one of the first things I noticed..

Also the cupboard above the fridge isn't as big as ours built in 2008

Not to be critical, but I didn't think the counter could get much smaller. Wasn't there pretty much only room for the sink and stove plus maybe 4" in the older model?

I thought it was actually the straight walls that gave it the extra 3" (the old one was 49" and the new is 52"). That would be 1 1/2" in the front and back which seems plausible.
