I'm also of the mind that we need to have a ladder along for the ride on longer trips...
how often are we really going to need to clean off the bugs and solar panel??

so that said compact size that can safly reach the roof top .... this is the one i have my eye on...

Why can't Escape put a ladder on their bigger trailers like most other MFG do .

Because most manufacturers trailers have an inner framework and I'm betting ETI doesn't really want folks walking on a slippery roof. Besides, how often does one need to "get up" on the roof? I see most trailers with ladders have a "storage area" on the roof where fiberglass trailers don't. YMMV

To keep them light, otherwise not only would they have to add supports for the ladder, the roof would need reinforcing, as it is not meant to be walked on.

Personally, I much prefer the clean look without it.
