Propane tank cover

Hi,
I'm looking to replace the vinyl propane tank cover that came with my 15B trailer with a hard plastic case but I can't figure out what size tank came with my trailer. My build sheet doesn't list specific size and ETI website doesn't either. At least I can find size when trailer is purchased with single tank. ETI does list 20lb when describing dual tank option. When I went to fill my tank once, I'm pretty sure the attendant said I had a 30lb tank. Can anyone confirm if that's something ETI offers? ETI is closed now, my trailer is 15 miles away and I'm at camping world and wouldn't mind one up now. If someone's online and knows the answer, you'll be my hero or shero Thanks!
Jen H.

I only have one tank. believe it's a 30lb tank just wanted to confirm that's what ETI provides when you make standard purchase.

If your tank is 20#, it will be about 18" high.

If your tank is 30#, it will be about 24" high.

The diameter of both are a little over 12".

Thanks, tdf-texas. I will hold off on purchase until I can go out and measure.

Jen and Angie, if it's the tank that came with the trailer, I'm pretty sure it's a standard 20 lb tank. I don't think Escape sold them with a 30.

They all come with dual tanks now - that's why you can't find the size of a single tank. I didn't know - or had forgotten - that any model ever came with a single tank. I did find a copy of a brochure for the 15' models in my files which includes as a feature:
Quote:
20 lb. OPD Propane Tank with Cover
The brochure is of unknown vintage, but it looks like I downloaded it in December of 2013... which would likely match a 2014 Escape 15. So either
  • the tank size changed between the brochure and when your trailer was made, or
  • you got a non-standard 30-pound tank, or
  • the tank was changed at some point (holders often work for either size), or
  • it is a 20-pound tank and has always been but some guy overcharged you for a propane fill.
It's hard to say which remotely, but that illustration should help, if you can recognize the proportions of the tank.

In the 26 images in your Maiden Journey album, 9 show the trailer and none of them show the propane tank (even covered). Picture 6 of 23 from the album Our 15B Escapades sort of shows the tank in the cover, but not well enough for me to be able to tell if it is a tall tank or a cover with peaked top.

This 15 brochure sketch shows two ( presumably ) 20 lb. tanks. I would think if you had a single 30 lb. you would have to specify that in the build and maybe even provide the tank to ETI.
