We have had one for 7 years now, it looks exactly the same build and size as the one Ross posted. We love it. It stows out of the way so nicely (I am guessing 6" diameter and 4' long), and is real handy especially if there is no other table. It is great to take to another campsite to use as a side table too. One of those things I wouldn't travel without.

We have a roll up aluminum table as well. Gets used nearly every trip. Great for placing under the awning when the picnic table at your campsite is fixed in place and/or too heavy to move around. The portable table is also great as a BBQ stand when the picnic table is too far away from the trailer for your flexible propane hose to reach.

Us young guys use the BBQ of the ground, as it is still easy to bend over.

Actually, the uses you describe are very common for us too.
