I would say to operate the refrigerator yourself and be shown where the reset place is on it. Have them operate anything you want to see working such as furnace or stove and operate the item yourself after them, if necessary, to know for sure, especially if you have the thermostat.

Even if taking video or notes is not recommended, it may still make sense to go to orientation with a checklist. The list can cover both topics you want to know about, and optional features which you want to ensure were installed as requested.

If you got the digital thermostat they had ours set for Celsius! If they sleep in the trailer they may need to know the conversion tables or read the manual to change it over to Farenheit.

This is a really good idea especially since Kevin has only been lightly involved up until now. I think I remember seeing a thread that talked about an orientation checklist. I'll find that and update it with our options.
