No AC? Do you know if AC could reasonably easily be installed here (in Ontario)? Also - sleep 2 or is there another single bed at the other end (or bunks)? Does it have brakes?

If you have the space you can always get a portable A/C at a Canadian Tire.

It isn't on the roof it's mobile or portable. Roof mount units most likely need additional support added to the roof to accommodate the added weight.
The unit I was referring to is on the floor or shelf. When you are on the go you will need to secure it where there is space to do so.

A/C could be installed at the factory. If you want to go local I would check with Escape on advice for that. Sleeps 3. One at front. Yes on the electric brakes.

Escape installs an additional fibreglass shroud to support the A/C. I imagine they could supply it, and you could install it with their directions. I would imagine an epoxy would be used. I know even though I did not have it installed, the wiring is at the vent for when I do want to.

Roof one installed
Could one not be installed on the roof (ie PolarCube)? I did a bit of research, and the 'portable' ones are not great, unless you drill holes to vent them outside...

I am thinking that direct email might work best. So I just tried emailing you at wsbyers adress,
Reason I asked about the AC is that we plan to do a fair bit of summer / south camping. A few years, we camped (tent) in Florida, and nearly did not make it...
I am very interested in your trailer, but I would have to drive to your area (about 2 days drive I think), and then figure out how to get the AC installed. This would add a lot of costs...
If we could settle on a cheaper price, we could make this happen. Or if you could get the AC installed (how fare are you from the factory )?

I have a 17B without AC. My understanding is that AC requires reinforcement of the roof and wiring. I could have had the trailer made "AC ready" so it could be installed later, but I didn't.
I believe to install now would be extremely expensive. You should get a quote from Escape for such work.

At some point did they make all of their trailers " AC " ready? Or am I imaging things?

I just checked the "FAQ " at the Escape site. It says as of jan 1 2009 all were built with roof reinforcements for adding AC later. Doesn't mention wiring.

May want to check with escape. A friend with a 2011 17 has an a/c ready trailer and there was a $250.00 charge.
