Reluctantly I'm selling my 2010 Escape 19. This is a clean and very well maintained trailer located in the St. Louis, MO, area. I'm asking $22,000USD. Please reply to this thread if interested. Equipment and options include:

Newer tires
Newer Trojan 105 batteries
Air conditioner installed by Escape Trailer Industries in 2016
GoPower 300 watt Pure Sine Inverter
Victron Battery Monitor with Bluetooth
LED lighting throughout
Memory foam mattress topper

Maxxfan
TV on extendable wall mount
Microwave oven
Countertop extension
Two-burner stove with cover
Sway control hitch
5 cubic foot 2-way refrigerator
Rear hitch-mounted cargo carrier with secure cargo bin

The frame recall on this trailer was remedied by Escape Trailer Industries.

I also have a Honda EU2000i generator and a GoPower 120 watt portable solar panel setup that I will sell if someone is interested. Boondocking anyone?

Michael,
We are interested also. We are in St Jacob, just up the road from you. We currently have a Casita 17 SD and are thinking of upgrading to an Escape 19. Do you know what the width of the wheelbase is.....curb side to driver side outside dimension? Would appreciate the info once it quits raining today.

Thanks...jon

Kanoer54,

My Escape is in a secured building at a storage facility that is closed now until Monday. I would go along with the info that gbaglo provided and say it's 7 feet side to side. Thanks for your interest. I'd be happy to show you the trailer any day or evening next week.

Glen, Thanks for the info.

Someone told me the molds were changed around 2015 to make the unit about 8 inches wider. Is this information correct? Is the 2010 interior aisle width the same as on the 2018 as in the brochure you posted?

Are the 2010 and the 2018 both double axle units?

thanks.....again Glen...

Kanoer54, I'll have to let someone else speak to any differences in interior isle width in various model years. I can say that my 2010 is a twin axle unit. This greatly enhances the stability of the trailer going down the road. It also has electric brakes. All this with the sway control hitch makes this model tow like a dream.

Thanks...Mike

That's close to "track", not "wheelbase", but even then it's not the standard track dimension (which is between tire centres). Escape doesn't publish this dimension - it's standard for motor vehicles but usually not provided for trailers.

With the current vertical-wall body design the tire sidewalls are pretty close to widest part of the trailer, so sidewall to sidewall is closer to the overall width given in the specs (which has always been 84" for the 19') for the current design and it was for the earlier design... now a few inches less than the overall body width.

Not quite. The change was in 2016 (early 2016 units are the older shape, later 2016 are the newer shape), and the overall width didn't change. The new shape has vertical sides, so with the same width at the beltline the top and bottom are about 4" wider than the old shape. The axles were lengthened (increasing the width across the tires) by the same amount.

All years of Escape 19' (and 21', and 5.0TA) are tandem axle trailers. All years of 17' (and 13', 15', and 5.0) are single-axle trailers.

Very interested in your trailer

Greetings from Pittsburgh, PA.
I am looking for an Escape 19, and am quite flexible regarding installed options.
I see that your unit has an air conditioner and several other desireable features. We are in Cape Girardeau, and able to travel to St. Louis in the next day or so.

I will send you a PM. We are 17 ft. Casita owners and well familiar with fiberglass eggs, and have toured a couple of 19's.

We have cash in hand, and look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

David Anderson (David Glen)
