Good catch - Fiberglass RV's For Sale hasn't caught that one yet.

Since not much wears out in a moulded fiberglass trailer - especially a simple one with no bathroom - it might be worth accepting the age to save the $8000 compared to a new one... and of course that's only an asking price.

Anyone know about this trailer?? I've been emailing the owner through the Craigslist site, but no replays. I'd be quite interested , if anyone can get a message through please tell them to get back to Jon in Vernon. Pm me through this site or at FG RV

thanks

Boy, the finishes have sure changed a lot! Not surprising in 13 years, I guess.

I'm amazed how often people take pictures for selling something without doing even the slightest bit of picking stuff up and cleaning. Marketing 101.

@thepitchedlink

I was back and forth with the owner earlier this week. I have left them a message to check their inbox.

Sky free - and not only did they not pick up their stuff lying around they also expect to get more than the original owner paid for it new. A good gig if you can get it.

The value of a older used trailer - or used anything else - doesn't have much to do with what it cost when new. It competes with other trailers available in the market, and the right price is whatever people are willing to pay.

In this case, a new 17A is CA$25,500 (and over a year away), and this 13-year-old equivalent is CA$17,500... or about two-thirds of the cost of new. As long as it has aged well, that might be a good deal.

I think the price is a bit high, but hopefully negotiable...but still can't get any contact with the owner...so not much I can do about it....frustrating.

Somewhere on this site is instructions to not discuss price on the forum. Darned if I can find it.

You are right, the only reason I commented was because it was a referral therefore not connected to the owner.

After a decently thorough search, I think you can't find it because it doesn't exist. Perhaps you are thinking of the Marketplace Posting Rules in FiberglassRV?

I agree - this is not a price negotiation in the forum (which may or may not be allowed ), just a discussion of observations by members.

Both forums are owned by the same persons and both abide by similar rules, one of which involves discussion of price via private messaging or emails versus on the public forum.
