The shroud is a separate piece of fiberglass fitted to the area for reinforcement. However with the newer molds the roof is reinforced, thus no additional shroud is needed. My 2012 Escape 19 had the shroud, my 2014 21' does not. I know the 21' do not need them, not sure if the 19 is built like the 21 or may still need the shroud for a/c.

I haven't been able to talk to Reace and confirm. So I believe you are correct and in any event A/C can be added.
is this still for sale?

We have reduced the price to $24,000 for Houdini.
We think this is a gem, and a great trailer for a fair price!

We are coming out your way in May - we could bring it with us if we haven't sold it yet!

Somehow our camper found its way to a strange unknown-to-us site as sold. It is still here, and we are very happy to show it to anyone who would like to see it. Just send us a PM and we will happily send you our contact info.

Hi, I'm new to the forum and saw your post for your trailer. Is it still available? If it is I would be interested in finding out more about it and possibly looking at it. I'm in NH around the Concord area so not too far away. Thank you!

Hi Michelle,
Sorry I missed this post, but thank you for responding to the Craig's List ad. Houdini is still for sale as of now, but lots more interest in the last few days. We look forward to showing it to you anyway. Thanks for your interest!

Houdini is the trailer (along with Ian and Jenny) that inspired us to go from a 17' Casita LD to a 19' Escape. He has been lovingly cared for and is well appointed on the inside. I can remember the first day a group of us at a rally saw the Eddy's pull into the campground. 15 or 20 of us stood there, jaws dropped and dancing from one foot to another--like kids watching an opulent ice cream truck. Poor folks couldn't hardly get set up for all of us eagerly hanging around for a look inside! It is a treat of a trailer.

Thank you oldclimber for making this seemingly interminable wait to pick up our finished 'treat of a trailer' more unbearable....lol.

One day at a time, Robert, one day at time. It's a beautiful trailer, as they all are. Will be happy for y'all when you lay hands on it. Our wait begins soon:^)

The great thing about buying a trailer like Houdini, though, is the instant gratification factor! Get it and go....

Thank you all for your wonderful comments.
With very mixed emotions, we watched our dear Houdini leave with his new owners today. We are amazed that in his relatively brief lifetime, how many people he introduced to the wonderful world of Escape trailers. Although it was very sad to see him go, we are now directing our efforts to designing a new Escape 19 utilizing the lessons we have learned over the past 6 years, and look forward to picking up our new one in May. (And it will be A/C ready for real!!!)
We look forward to seeing manny of you at Osoyoos!
