SOLD: 2012 17b
Since ordering and purchasing our 17B late in 2012, I have enjoyed benefiting from the amazing array of skills and knowledge freely offered in this forum, but have not felt able to contribute in like kind. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, my first post is that I must now offer our trailer for sale.
I ordered and purchased it from Escape Trailer Industries, taking delivery late in 2012, travelling home to Campbell River on Vancouver Island via Burlington and Anacortes in Washington State. Incidentally, the Anacortes-Sidney ferry route off and on Vancouver Island was (and perhaps still is) a relative bargain when the C$ was at par.
The trailer has been lightly used: a trip in 2013 through Washington-Idaho-Montana-Alberta, others, one trip each to visit family in Edmonton and the Cariboo in 2013 and in 2014. For the summer months in each year we have used it as our ”summer cottage”, parked in a shaded area on property that we share on a nearby lake.
Storage when not in use has been plugged in at our home.
I have treated the exterior with Aerospace 303 Protectant each year.
It has the very fine stock Escape Trailer Industries features, layout and colours, with dark green graphics.
Options installed/supplied are:
4.3 cu.ft. fridge
AC ready
Opening window over sink
Additional brake lights over rear window
Dual 6V batteries
Exterior access hatch
Pre-wire for solar
Surge Protector
TV ready
3 - 12V outlets
Tank wand
Other then-options that I understand are now included are:
Dual propane tanks
Bike Rack ready
Both exterior lights LED
Interior LED light package
Stainless steel Sink and Chrome Faucet
Included extras are:
Weight distributing equalizer hitch
BAL single-axle tire leveler
Hitch locks and security
Multi-sewer connection head (or foot?) (required in some campsites)
Holding tank hydroflush connection
Over-window rain gutters
Cover (smallest available from Camping World)
Tire chocks
After some consideration, I have set the asking price at $22,000, however, depending on response, I am open to reasonable offers. In view of the fact that we are on Vancouver Island, I am prepared to defray any ferry (even BC Ferries!) expense for the tow vehicle and the trailer off the Island to the ultimate purchaser.
