15amp Male to 30amp Female Dogbone

After leaving our indoor storage and having our E21 parked outside our residence preparing for the season (no running A/C or microwave) & just cleaning and keeping the 12v batteries charged, I would rather run my garage 15 amp extension cord to the shore power inlet instead of leaving my expensive 25' shore cord outside in the weather elements and/or criminal elements. Safety and seamless fit are my main concerns. Any suggestions? Thank You!

I'm not getting the removable cord this time and plan on installing the above in the hatch cover, that way I can use 15 amp service and cord those times air conditioning is not needed. Simple hole to cut and install.

I think the most important feature is what you already implied: a "dogbone" adapter (short cord with different sizes of connectors on each end), rather than a one-piece block. The dogbone style allows the 30 amp connection to lie against the wall, and the 90-degree 15 amp plug stays in the socket. The one-piece style works - and only costs about five bucks - but the weight of the cord tends it bend it down and pull it out of the socket; this can be addressed by using a short 15 amp extension cord and leaving the adapter lying on the ground, but this is relatively awkward and is a bit risky in a wet area.

I built my own dogbone using a Marinco 30 amp twitslock connector, 2' of #12 SJOOW cable & a standard 15 amp plug., that was I carry a spare if I manage to do in the one on my standard 30 amp cable. I use it with a 25' #12 extension cord, although I've been in a couple of campgrounds where just the adapter was long enough to plug in the trailer.

This one is working out. I like the 90 on the trailer end - less strain on the connection.

Didn't even think about 90 degrees.

The 90 is better the one I have. The purpose I went with a dog bone was so it'd flex down under the cover, the 90 would be even better, not that I'm going to buy another.

Great way to use what you have with you already instead of bringing another cable!
