19' black tank vent cap replacement
Pulling a tarp off my 2009 Escape 19, I noticed it appears the vent cap for the black water tank is broken or missing. I think this is the black tank stack, next to the ceiling vent?
I was thinking about replacing it with one of these Camco replacements: This link doesn't play embedded, ut you can see the picture:
I'd like to avoid drilling new holes if I need to replace the whole thing. Anyone know the manufacturer?
Regards,
Matt

I used one of the caps shown in the video for my missing gray tank vent cover, however it does not sit flat on the top. The "grippers" appear to be designed for a non tapered vent; the one escape uses lets the cover tilt in the wind. Never had leak problems, but I eventually switched it with the black tank cover, which is covered with an added solar panel.
The problem, at least with the 17's, is the roof is not flat where the vent attaches. Most of the replacement vents I've found are more rigid than the one Escape uses & will not conform to the roof shape.

Thanks, I think I did just locate it with that search under Heng's model 10001-C. At least it has that unique sort of octagonal cutout in the second pic. Just US $5.85 shipped

Right. Some months back I discovered my vent cap had gone missing. I found what looked to me like a plastic vent match on eBay, bought it and simply replaced the cap part. No need to unscrew anything.

I cut the top off one of these containers after I used it and dropped it over the 'windvane' then threw on the tarp.

Theses vents have no UV protection at all . Hit mine with a brush today and it crumbled like a egg shell both the cover and the tube attached to the roof . Should last more than 4 years I think . I'm off to the RV shop ....

Everything exposed to the weather, I have treated:
Removeable stuff (including the top half of the Dometic A/C cover), I spray-painted with Krylon-for-Plastics "Dover White".
Everything that is fixed in place, I treated with Aero 303.
