I had it on my Escape 19' with battery in the front box, but also had solar, so solar maybe the common denominator. They are not hard to install. Chapi, I'm sure we can walk you thru it.

No switch (or solar) on my 2009 17B.
I'd pop open the battery box & disconnect the ground when I put it away for awhile.

If the battery cut off switch is not installed in your trailer you can remove the 12V fuse(s) that supply voltage to the sensors or disconnect the negative battery cable to eliminate parasitic draw.

Solar and battery in the front storage box, but no bypass switch on my 2013 19'.
Maybe it depends on the day of the week the trailer was built...

My April 2013 19' with solar has a cutoff switch on drivers side front dinette at knee level.

Are you sure Doug?,
Yours and seems to be the only 19'?, do not know anything about the 17, sorry Chapi !. There was also one underneath the bed on my 2012x 19', same toggle, but this one operated the 12v heat pads. Maybe it is in the unit someplace else??

Pretty sure it is standard, Myron. Mine is there. It doesn't have a fancy protector like yours though.  Looks like a great idea. You can just make it out at the very front on the bench in this photo.

My 17B has solar and dual 6 volt batteries, and came with a disconnect switch. I assumed it to be a standard feature. Maybe I'm missing something, but it occurs to me that a disconnect switch is MOST needed for those units WITHOUT solar. I can forget to switch off and it's really not too big a deal, since I'm getting a modest solar charge even through my cover. About the only time I've used it is when tinkering with wiring, when it comes in very handy.

We have a 15B with DUAL batteries and we have a disconnect. Is the difference in the battery setup?

Just heard from Kim @ Escape . In the case of my order with the 2 6 volt batteries u get the switch cutoff . Order the 12volt and it becomes a option

Perhaps on the premise that it's more cumbersome to manually disconnect TWO batteries than one? I think it should be standard on all trailers, or for that matter any vehicle that sits idle for any substantial period of time. I've put them on two pop-ups, and a hunting Jeep that only got used periodically.

If I do not have a cut off switch on any of my vehicles, they are hooked to a trickle charger.

Why? If the two batteries are in series (as two 6V batteries would be), it is only necessary to disconnect a single cable.
It seems to me that, as mentioned much earlier, inconvenient access to the battery (as with the interior installations) would be biggest reason for fitting a disconnect switch. It seems like a good idea to me with any battery installation, although none of my RVs have a complete disconnect.

I'm kinda glad I don't have the battery disconnect switch.
I just keep the trailer plugged in, or I disconnect the battery ( on the back bumper ).
If I had the disconnect switch, I'd have to remember which way is off and which is on.
