Here is a photo of the $30 Amazon one in our 2017 21'

That I linked to.

I would call it a perfect fit.

No movement side to side, and a wee bit of space front to back.

Just slide it 2" to access floor valve / hair catch.

:-)

Not sure what area is "22" x 27" that you mentioned..... in a 2017 - 21'?

Interesting topic , yesterday on our expensive teak shower stool . Did the annual cleaning had to use a little bleach on bottom . Let it dry , then reoiled it with Teak Oil . Pat

I will have to look at the measurements closely next time because it looks as if your mat is actually against the walls or almost, as if they are only 24" or 25". Does the mat measure 24"? Ours is a classic. I know that I did not measure very well, just getting something approximate.

John- like the floor, mine just arrived today to replace the BB&B teak one. This is wider so will be more proportional in the 21 bath.

So sounds like you went up & back for the new trailer? Trip report/pics?

The floor on the 2017 21' Escape is not slippery like the 2014 Casita was, but we like the look, so we got the one from BB&B. Next time, I will look for the one Los Angeles got.

Floor can become slippery though with condensation which is why we also out a suction bath mat down first. Tried it without last trip and won't do that again.

Thank you all for the discussion. Based on these posts, I purchased the seateak mat from Amazon and cut it to fit. It looks very nice and feels so good under my feet. Can't wait to try it out on our next cross country trip starting in late February.

Nice choice Wolfgang. You might want to dab some Teak Oil on the cut ends if you haven't done so already. We love the look and feel of the Seateak, and have received quite a few compliments from folks who've seen it.

Which Seateak mat? So far I've used Drideck in all my trailers, but think I'll go with teak or bamboo this time.

Today I ordered the mat that John linked to. I figured April 4 in not that far away!

Also, Amazon showed the dimensions as 23.7" x 17.7". And they even had a picture of using the floor mat as a serving tray.

We just used ours which replaced a different one from BB&B we had been using for two years. For a 21 this one fits PERFECT! Nice & smooth with the slats close enough for good footing. We put it on top of a rubber bath mat with suction cups which is wide enough to just overhang so it protects the sidewalls of the bathroom from any jostling.

Remember the 21 and 5.0 have different sized baths, the 5.0 is the same as the 19, IINM....

The 21 is more square box whereas the 19 has a little bump out, or "L" I just installed a square teak mat I had on hand in my 19 without the bump out, it does the job.

We put a teak duckboard in our Scamp shower floor basically to keep our feet dry when using the toilet. If you use the sink in the Scamp without turning on the boost pump the water would rise above the drain in the shower floor. The teak grate really solved that issue, and looked pretty good. We tend to use campground showers, so don't know if the teak would be of benefit if showering daily. Our new trailer has a separate shower stall, so I think we will leave it bare, and put a small rug or bath mat in the loo.
