If you use one of those one-piece adapters, such as in the links, you should also use an extension cord (as Paul mentioned) between the outlet and the adapter so that the end of the trailer's cord - with that adapter - is lying on the ground. If you put the one-piece adapter directly into an outlet then plug the trailer's cord in

The big connector with two flat pins at right angles plus a round ground pin is the 30-amp size which is only used for RVs. Trivia: this is called the "TT-30" connection... although in RV part descriptions it's usually just called "30-amp", because it is the only kind of 30-amp outlet found in campsites.
