mounting rooftop solar panels

I've read discussions about how ETI mounts the roof solar panels with tape. I've read the posts by the one poor fellow who ended up bolting his panels down because they kept blowing off.

My question is: has anyone else chosen to have panels bolted on instead of taped, and why?

And, the fellow who had problems insisted on doing it himself instead of taking it in to a shop near him that had expertise.

There was a kayak rack molded into to fiberglass a number of years ago from the factory. Might be a direction for you to ponder, a type of rack. If I remember right it was lot of work for Reace so you would have to ask if they would be willing. I assume you are talking about a new purchase not a retrofit.
