Outdoor shower

Old style o/s shower had an attached hose that was stored inside thru a hole in the rear of the shower apparatus, always had to stick some insulation inside to keep cold air out in the winter.
No longer true with the sealed quick connect system.

Just curious does anyone have a photo of the new style exterior shower?

Still don't understand Jim . My outside shower is in a one piece box . Inside closet it is covered .?Pat

Glenn as I recall on my 2009 19 if you looked up to the top of the shower component box, where the supply line comes down to the valve assembly there was a gap around the hose.

The style of shower is pictured here and one can see the holes in the rear to allow the shower hose. The new style is from Phoenix, Escape was handing out their product description at the Rally with the welcome kit.

Notice there is no hole in the rear, it is sealed from the outside.

I can not tell if you have the other style with the holes in the rear top to allow the hose to coil but other wise it looks the same as the one I was referring to an what PG Driver mentioned, holes in the rear allows cold air in the winter to enter the trailer.

Not sure Scott, Haven't seen the new shower except Jim's picture but it does look a lot smaller then the previous shower.
We didn't order the exterior on our 5.0TA so we have a clean slate for mounting. [emoji4]

If you mount it on the curb side the kitchen water supply is easily accessible inside over the wheel wells. According to the website all you need is a 5.5" square hole, a lot smaller than the older style set up.

Thanks Jim, it looks my old school exterior shower is 6.1 X 11". Oh well, I guess I'll just keep using my old ensolite insulation pad for shoulder season protection. Scott

Had a look at my old shower installation and there isn't a "gaping" hole. There is space around the hose, which could be easily caulked, if somehow there were a draft.
As for ease of installation of the new shower, if you put it on the curb side of the 17B you would have to route the water from the driver side where the sink and inside shower are.

I was told by krista that drivers side installation was only option on 2017 17b

That makes sense, that is where the water lines are located, each trailer is different, what may work with one will not work with another. The 19 and 21 and 5.0 TA have kitchens on curb side.

Our 21' shower is on the driver's side which is the standard placement. Or at least it was. Don't know now.

On our 2017 21' we can specify the shower to be drivers side.

Or passenger side (just aft of wheel wells)
