Pd ems
Our PD EMS showed a fault recently ( Over Voltage )
The EMS display showed the voltage level at 131 VAC
The manual shows a trip level of 132 VAC
I checked the voltage at the pedestal with my Fluke multimeter and it indicated a voltage level of 126 VAC ( The meter was recently calibrated )
There were several other trailers in that same campground loop with EMS systems and none of them were showing high voltage nor did they trip.
Is there an adjustment on the PD EMS to correct this issue ?

Steve,
I suggest you contact Progressive with that question, if the answer is not in the manual. Their customer service is top notched.

Steve, here is the page on fault codes and what to do.
Rv Surge Protection | United States | Progressive Industries, Inc. | Troubleshooting.
For yours it sounds like a warranty replacement might be required.
They are fairly easy to work with. I had one of the portable units and it faulted and a new one was in my hands in less than a week.
And shortly after they came out with a new version that did not have the problem that faulted mine. (rain)

My thanks to both Jim and Wetzk . After doing some reading / research it appears the EMS is defective
I sent an E-Mail to PD with a description of the problem , when I get an answer back I will post the results

But then he can't be called the "Danbury Troll."
I wonder if he'll bring the new SOB to the Mississippi River Rendezvous?
Enjoy,
Perry

Technically we are not CHEESEHEADS or PACKER BACKERS or even residents of Wisconsin
We may live in Wisconsin part of the year but we are still Minnesotan’s and always will be
It’s a promise I made to my mother many years ago which I plan on keeping if at all possible
PS ; As far as being a TROLL nothing has changed

We have owned property in Wisconsin for over 30 years and are still trying to learn the language and the local customs .
I did get a return E-Mail from PD and there is a way to make adjustments to the EMS system . I tried calling PD but the tech who sent me an E-Mail is out of the office . When I get anymore info I will post it .

I never understood that. We sit around the local bubbler drinking soda (old fashions if after noon) talking about all the transplants complaining about the customs. We don't have local customs. Pretty soon I will hear complaints about the dairy air on the way up nort.

One local custom I have never understood is why they send grief counselors into the schools when the Packers lose a football game .

Terry's son lives in Princeton, IA. We'll be there Saturday morning for the camper walk-through's. Hopefully we'll get to meet you then.
We been married 21 years, and before three weeks ago, 28 hours is the longest we've been without a camper (sold our 5th wheel one afternood and bought a Scamp the next). We're having extreme withdrawals! Twenty-eight days until we leave for our trip to Chilliwack!
Enjoy,
Perry

I recalibrated the EMS this morning . It was reading 8 to 10 VAC high ( Display showed 125 VAC — Fluke showed 116 VAC )
The EMS display and my Fluke meter now show the same voltage reading
Hopefully the problem has been resolved . We shall see !!

1) Remove the cover on the EMS ( 6 Phillips head screws)
( My EMS was mounted on the floor under the rear dinette on drivers side)
2) Place volt meter on line terminals of contractor / relay — read line voltage and compare to EMS display voltage
3) There is a small voltage adjustment screw on the top of a blue plastic component / potentiometer next to the pushin orange wire connectors inside the enclosure .
4) Turn adjustment screw slowly until EMS display voltage reading matches volt meter voltage reading .
( Turn screw counter clockwise if EMS display reads high - clockwise if EMS reading is low)
Hopefully my explanation is clear enough but after you remove the EMS cover it should be clear .

Thanks Steve! Seems pretty straight forward to me. Odd this info isn't in the manual, I checked.

That information is not in my EMS manual either .
It took a couple of E-Mails and phone calls to Progressive Industries before I finally got some answers / information . It seems strange that Progressive doesn’t calibrate their units before they leaves the factory but from what I was told this problem is not uncommon .
Hopefully my EMS will now work as intended .
