portable computer use

I have an HP laptop that takes 19 volt 45 watt DC. Does anyone know a 12 to 19 volt adapter that will work for our HP?

Car adapter for HP laptop

Omi,
Run a search on EBay. There is a wide selection of car (12V) adapters to charge the battery in your HP laptop.

There are lots of them available on line. Do a search for 12V to 19V computer power supplies. This is an example of one that meets the requirements, although I'd look for something from a more main line supplier such as Lind. More expensive, but less likely to die when you need it...

On edit, I linked to a specific Lind supply...

Thanks very much. I guess I was looking for some specific brand suggestions with reasons . . . and you have given that : )

The other thing you could do is purchase a small inverter and plug it into the 12V outlet. We added a second outlet in our builds so we had one at each end of the trailer, especially for charging our phones.

If you go this route try to find one without a fan. The units with fans can get quite annoying in a small trailer.
Here’s one:

Glenn’s example above (MotoMaster Eliminator) also appears to be designed without a cooling fan.
