I'll hope it will be harmless. The existing one has worked flawlessly for the three years I've owned the trailer, but was showing some cracking in the hose, so I wanted to replace before an upcoming longer trip.

Thanks too for pointing out that the color of the Acme fitting indicates flow rate. I didn't know that, and good to know for future reference.
