Y'all have me worried about touring around to new places. There sure does seem to be a lot of wind around. We just don't seem to see it in most of Alberta, and BC.

At least the new awnings will put themselves away if the wind picks up too much. Starting to like that feature more and more listening to those here that see wind every day.

Lately I have seen a number of campers who have awnings similar to the Escape but they have used a double tie down on the end of each awning with some of those pet stakes, a corkscrew you put in the ground. I did not see how they fastened to the awning but the tie downs looked substantial and like a good idea. The weak point might be a strong wind could damage where the tie down is fastened to the awning.

Anyone use a tie down?
