Bob,
Can you provide the name of the salesman? Or maybe now you have a name at Dometic for others to contact?
Thanks
Chapi

This is the ETI response I got last week. I figured I would just print it out and take it to a local warranty shop:

Hello Charlie, Thank you for your email. You can now take your fridge into any Dometic Authorized RV Service Center in your area and have the fridge re and re. If they have any questions or concerns please provide them with our email and I will provide them with our contact information for Dometic. Please feel free to forward any questions you may have.

In case anyone wants t know how long the whole swap process may take.

After a service call and a couple days of temp testing proved it NG, Dometic gave tech the go ahead to replace it with the new RMD model, Dometic to pay 1 hr labor. Fridge shipping at this time, supposed to take a few days. 6/18
Tech received the new fridge 6/24, installed this am. 15 days, start to finish. 1.5 hrs to do the swap.

Mine shipped today from Indiana; eta Tuesday. Any insight to the R & R process is always useful to the rest of us. Did they re-use the Texas fans for example?

He did NOT reuse the Texas fan, the new fridge has one installed from the factory. Also said the Texas fan option had the temp sensor in the wrong place, probably would never have gone on.

Mine just arrived at the shop today, but can not be installed until 7/8 due to holiday and work backlog, so I'll be taking it down on 7/2 to drop off. If I'm lucky BlackJack will be home on the 9th or 10th of July. This will mean about 30 days between first call to shop to start the ball rolling. I'm going to have the brakes, tires and bearings checked while there also.

Service call to diagnose problem last week, 1 hr @ $60.

Dometic pays 1 hour labor for R&R. Took 90 minutes as he had to trim the baffles a little to fit.

I did tell the tech I'd cover any extra time if he incurred any as I didn't want him rushing. As he spent an hour and a half, I expect to pay for that, although he did not mention it today.

Total actual time would be about 2.5 hrs.
