Solar Charge Controller Location
Our Go Power charge controller is installed on the driver side dinette bench of our 17B. We had ours added by ETI last year. I was looking at the pump last night because it sounds like it is on its last legs. I noticed that the water fittings are all within inches of the charge controller electrical connections. I am concerned about leaks and the electronics when changing out the pump. Is it typical that the charge controller is next to the water system like ours?
I have been planning out a Trimetric 2030 monitor install. I have considered maybe going with a Trimetric SC 2030 back near the power centre to eliminate the water leak risk and because it can charge the batteries more completely. The only problem would be filling the hole in the millwork from the Go Power controller. In hindsight I probably would have had the solar controller installed somewhere else but not sure where.
