There are no phantom loads if you turn off the battery switch. Even your 2010 should have one. Ours was below the dinette.

Yes I have the switch, in fact it's A very robust unit that the previous owner installed. I was just not sure if the switch shut off everything or left the CO detector on. Thanks for the updates. I stay plugged in all the time and when I have the 10' by 18' door open. I get enough light in for some solar gain too. Haven't had a low battery since we got the 19. Now with dual sixes and solar,'even less likely. Thanks

If your seller installed it, no telling what it covers. I was not aware that ETI did not install them in 2010. Ours was installed by them in our 2011. Here is the switch in our 21', far left, and the other one looked like that.

Sorry I was not clear, the PO replaced the factory installed switch after they bumped the original into the off position by accident a few times. Jack put in a very positive Switch that works great, I just was not sure if it controlled everything or not. Never checked, have not had to shut it off and look because all systems have worked flawlessly since we got the 19.'

In my 2008 Escape there was a manual that suggested you remove one of the battery terminal connections during storage.
Was a cheap solution and took up little space ( just one paragraph ).
Of course, the battery is easily accessible on the back bumper.

We were told that if you had dual 6v batteries, you had a shutoff switch, but if you had a single 12v battery, you must disconnect the battery terminal.

On my Nov 2013 19 model, the solar panel and also the inverter (ETI factory installed) bypass the battery disconnect. The inverter has its own battery connection. I disconnected a battery lead while storing the trailer under cover last winter. The propane detector is shut off with the disconnect, but the CO/smoke detector has its own batteries. They could be removed during storage. I have the dual 6V battery option.

The CO/smoke detector has its own batteries. Good point.
