I only saw one photo, and personally would not put anything there as there is only a few inches of space above. Maybe if I was pressed for space, but would likely create it elsewhere.

Ok, so I've been reading everything I can find about the Escape 5.0 TA and we've been working out details of a build sheet while waiting for an opportunity to actually lay hands on one; a.k.a. see one in person.

However, I've been looking and just can't figure out,...where the heck did they put those propane tanks?
This is the best post title I’ve read in a long time, maybe ever

Not enough room for grill but I fit my water hose, filter, table cloth and a tarp. Everything comes out in about 15 seconds to change a tank.

Now that is a great idea and good place for your hoses. They are pain when stored in the box above and hard to stack anything on them.

The shelf just sits on top of tanks, held in place by 2 discs that have a light press fit to top of tank

Hi: All... Here's my full blown pic of the propane bottle storage area. First on the 5.0 then on the 5.0TA. The 5.0TA has a second tier storage that fits a Spitfire 180 BBQ with slight modification. Some specs may be different with the new 2017 model.
Another reason I liked the Escape design as they were in side... not out!!! Alf

Must have a little more room in newer ones, I can fit a Q1000 grill with no modification and still have quite a bit space left over for my rug, hammock and some other stuff.

Wow Alf you must have taken that pic of the 5.0 when it was still pretty new. I see it's before the head banging nut protection, and is everything clean looking. Doesn't quite look the same now, mind you it is 10 years old!

There's room in the tank container in the old 5.0 to store the hose wrapped around the top of the tanks. Wish we had the extra storage above though. Perhaps a new 5.0TA is in our future

Adrian
