Also any ideas on how I might install shut off valves for hot & cold so that if this happens again, I could just shut off the outflow valves to the outside shower so that I can use water at the sink etc? Otherwise, the pump keeps running & water keeps leaking outside. I don't know if there is room for something like I'm describing but if anyone has done this please post & pictures would be awesome. Thanks all. PS, I did not receive any info on the outside shower from ETI.

The link I provided twice in this thread is the correct replacement unit for inside the stock D&W/Phoenix spray port box. 3-3/8” is correct. The 4” is too large to fit.
I don’t know how much room you have in the area of the Pex piping leading to the shower but there are several alternatives. Neither require crimping. I will be doing an aftermarket outside spray port install soon (passenger side) with the Flair-it valves and may add them to the existing shower on the driver’s side if I have room.

You could try these but they are more expensive and you need room for the handle swing

If you have room to crimp the fitting you could always use a barbed stop valve, but you need to buy the rings and the tool too:
