Earlier in the thread one poster admitted to a problem after failure to winterize. Mine was not installed and simply broke because of using an improper fitting on the rear (post #15) and forcing it with a wrench. I have the older style shower on the drivers side but adding the newer style with quick connect for hose and flexible faucet to the passengers side. Best of both worlds.

Reviving this thread as the leak issue (hot water tap outside shower) has occurred again. I will order a new ensemble. Want to make sure for the 2017 17B that the 3 3/8 inch is what I need. I don't know where they measure to get that. Also any ideas on how I might install shut off valves for hot & cold so that if this happens again, I could just shut off the outflow valves to the outside shower so that I can use water at the sink etc? Otherwise, the pump keeps running & water keeps leaking outside. I don't know if there is room for something like I'm describing but if anyone has done this please post & pictures would be awesome. Thanks all. PS, I did not receive any info on the outside shower from ETI.

The link I provided twice in this thread is the correct replacement unit for inside the stock D&W/Phoenix spray port box. 3-3/8” is correct. The 4” is too large to fit.

I don’t know how much room you have in the area of the Pex piping leading to the shower but there are several alternatives. Neither require crimping. I will be doing an aftermarket outside spray port install soon (passenger side) with the Flair-it valves and may add them to the existing shower on the driver’s side if I have room.

You could try these but they are more expensive and you need room for the handle swing

If you have room to crimp the fitting you could always use a barbed stop valve, but you need to buy the rings and the tool too:

By the way, the 3-3/8” dimension is the center-to-center dimension of the faucet valves.
This is the correct unit as I have linked previously:

Thank you for taking the time to post this info Dave. Don't think I have enough room to put in shut off valves but will put some insulation/reflectix in the outside compartment from now on once I replace the apparatus.

I spoke with ETI about installing valves on the o/s shower or plumbing from above for gravity drainage and Tammy told my salesperson that the new o/s shower installation should be fine? We will see in .......8 more weeks
