Walmart sues Tesla after solar system fires

For you other solar panel aficionadoes out there. I haven't really thought about solar panel systems causing fires, but there you go:

Shoddy workmanship will do it.

As a business owner I don;t like companies that only survive because of subsidies they are given. Tesla in my humble opinion is one of those companies.

Enjoy the journey.

I agree in spirit, but the fact is there would be no power generation in any form without subsidies.

Subsidies aside, the article mentions Walmart's claims that the workmen Tesla used did a substandard job, were trying to finish in a hurry with no thought for quality, and that Tesla hasn't corrected the problems.

That problem occurs in all sorts of businesses, and has nothing to do with subsidies.

We recently visited a Wal-Mart in Truth or Consequences, NM. To our surprise, we found the entire parking lot under a roof of solar panels suppoted by robust steel columns and beams. That was a good thing because it was 101 degrees there when we arrived and we enjoyed the walk to the store in the shade. No, we didn't notice any that were on fire.

Every business that does not provide their employees with a living wage benefits from indirect government subsidies in the form of food stamps, housing subsidies, medical write-offs, etc.
