What converter does ETI use?

What Converter is in the 21? I am getting ready to sell my Casita, and I installed a IOTA IQ 55 amp 12v/120 converter in it. This converter has the capability to read the batteries and decide if they need a boost (14.3v) or a float voltage. Should I plan to purchase another one or is the converter in the 21 adequate? The original Casita converter was a Parallax 7300 battery boiler.
thanks,
Jerry

Escape uses WFCO 8900 series if I recall. They work fine, with absorption, bulk and float charging. I am away on business so I can't provide the amperage / model number, but if someone is close to their trailer maybe they can pull the door and give you the model number.

The Features lists for all models say:
Quote:
55 Amp Converter with Battery Charger
I believe that the converter is integrated with the distribution panel in all Escapes, making it a "power center", and at 55 amps that would be a WF-9855. The description includes
Quote:
Automatic three-stage charging extends the life of your battery with output voltage modes of 13.2 VDC range “float” mode, 13.6 VDC range “absorption” mode, and a 14.4 VDC range “bulk” charge mode.
Confirmation, anyone?

Excellent recall Robert and Brian! Our 21 is curbside, waiting for a bubble bath, and the WF-8955 PEC is confirmed. Plus it got me out of my chair and ready to get started. Salute'

The IOTA IQ 55 is substantially better than Chinese built WFCO, world friendship company converter.

wow. thanks for the response. I looked at Harold Kroeker's post and was very impressed by his workmanship. I will probably go with the IOTA IQ55 as it is less expensive than the Xantrex, although it would probably not fit in the bottom of the distribution panel like the Xantrex. I will install a real disconnect switch like the one Harold installed.

Here is another option that I have installed on our Escape 19. Easy, half hour direct replacement, 5 wires. Works very well. Excellent if you need to charge the batteries using a generator.
