BC Ferries Vancouver to Vancouver Island: Reduced Rates for Trailers

Hi there, for those of you planning to travel to / from Vancouver Island this summer, BC Ferries has a deal on for over length. Instead of paying $6.10 per foot, you pay $2.00 per foot for anything over 20 feet. It applies only on Wednesdays and Saturdays until September 6. This is a great way to save some money. For example, when we left Victoria in early June to go to the rally with our Frontier and 15 A, we paid $177 and change. We caught the ferry back home this past Saturday and ended up paying $102 and change. So quite a cost savings. Just forwarded for the info of anyone interested in traveling to and from Vancouver Island this summer and to help you save some bucks!!!

Their e-mail is below:

Regards

Scott

Thanks for the heads-up on that, Kærnehuset. We've been planning to leave our trailer (when we get it) on a friend's acreage in Maple Ridge between trips rather than pay BC Ferries hundreds each time to get it back and forth to Vancouver Island. We hope BCF offers this deal from time to time so we can store the unit at home.
