Birthday camping

Just got back from a birthday weekend of camping with my sweetie! We remote camped at William Heist County Campground in Julian California for three days over Easter weekend and went on two long hikes, 6 miles on Friday then 12 miles on Saturday...still sore from that one! The flowers were blooming and turkeys, deer and birds were everywhere. The high temperature averaged 74 degrees F.

Here were some Indian signs we found; "morteros" we found out about 6 miles into our hike...




Of course we need to properly celebrate my birthday with margaritas followed by steak and lobster with some good red wine!







Our days were followed in the evening by huddling around our portable gas fire cooking marshmallows....BTW strawberry marshmallows are now my favorite!
