I'll use the web to look up campgrounds in an area, but even then, the reviews are suspect. Best resource is the members of this forum.

Agreed!! So now I have to ask, has anyone used this site before: ALL US AND CANADA CAMPGROUNDS LOCATOR: STATE PARKS NATIONAL PARKS FORESTS MORE california oregon washington new york pennsylvania more They also claim to have an app.

"If I was only going to have one app it would be AllStays Camp & RV."

Just looked up their web site (Allstays Camp and RV | RV Parks Campgrounds) ... Wow! I'll definitely be downloading this app to my Android. Thanks!!!

We tried three printed campground guides on a trip a couple of years ago, and all were nearly useless. They rarely agreed on the existence of any campground, and most were "organized" in a way which made finding anything highly inconvenient, if even possible. Accuracy of the information was low. The Woodall's was particularly bad.

We did manage to find some campgrounds, but the free provincial tourist guides and auto club "tour book" were as good as anything else.

I don't think these have been mentioned:

SeldomSeen,

Two great sites, thanks! I'm bookmarking them both. The National Forest Community forum, linked through the Directory, looks very promising as well.
