There's Cottonwood (privately owned) campground just across the highway. We've stayed there twice for the convenience, but I wouldn't say I liked it.
Then there's Cultus Lake Provincial Park across town that is much more woodsy and campground-like. That'll give you a few minutes of towing, too, so that you try out your tow vehicle and hitch and mirrors, as well as all the trailer's systems while in the campground.
Either place gives you good access to town and shopping for anything you need and a possible return to the factory for anything that might need attention.

The only problem with Cultus Lake, or any Provincial Park within an easy drive from Vancouver, is that they can be like a zoo filled with people who are there to party full time. Some folks go to camp and some go to party. We never stay in parks that close to Vancouver.

Hi,
Last June, when we picked up our new 21, we stayed the first two nights at Cultus Lake Provincial Park (although the lake/shoreline area was ridiculously overdeveloped, the campground was quite peaceful and lovely), then the next two at Springs RV Resort in Harrison Hotsprings (in a 'premium' site - pricey but nice; and enjoyable to explore the town and local trails). This gave us the chance to check out the systems with and without hookups, before we too headed slowly north, back to the Yukon!

I stayed at Cottonwood one night. It was meh. As in, close to things in town and eti. It was midday and i was leaving first thing in the morning, so it was fine. Just not your "camping" experience.

Is the Wal-Mart friendly? We are going to roll in late and be at the Escape factory early the next morning.

You will need a base of operation during orientation and pick up. We always stayed next door at Best Western. That allowed one of us to stay while the other walks next door for orientation which may take a couple of hours. Then the transfer at Sumas may take another couple hours.. Then back to motel and transfer items from tow vehicle to trailer and get on the road. So the whole process could be 4-6 hours, a lot while in the Walmart parking lot.

I should have been more definitive. We are towing our 19 into town to have a solar system installed at the factory. Just wondering if the WalMart in Chilliwack allows overnight parking. We'll be arriving late and leaving as soon as the work is finished the next morning.

If Walmart in Chilliwack doesn't allow overnight parking (it's on native land so may have different rules) I know the one in Abbotsford, just north of the Sumas on ramp to the freeway, does. From there it is a quick 15 min drive down the freeway to Escape.

I've stayed overnight at the Walmart no problem ETI recommended it for a quick overnight before repairs. but that was a few years ago- the Walmart policy may have changed.

RVParky shows camping is allowed, last review was in July so you should be good to go. I always call a Walmart before I get there, just to be sure.

A few weeks ago I stopped in at Escape Trailer Industries to have frame recall repairs done on our 19'. We stayed at Cultus Lake for two nights and brought the trailer in for a morning to have the repairs done. Cultus Lake is busy but is a very nice location to stay.
