We've learned from the French Canadians about lots of other free camping areas for RV's. Delighted to hear it's much the same in Newfoundland.

I'm at the Aviation Museum now watching and ejection seat demo. I'll then take a spin, not literally I hope, in a bi-plane.

Another couple of days sight-seeing and then we'll be on the road again.

Yes, the more folks we talk to, the more we hear good things.

We've left Ottawa and are headed to Montreal, then down across Maine and on to St. John, New Brunswick in the next few days.

The new electric bikes worked really well for sightseeing in Ottawa and the free parking lot was a great find.

Do you read FiberglassRV forum? A Newfoundland guide was written by Norm of Norm and Ginny who have been there many times, and I think are there now. Norm would send you a copy. They led a fiberglass caravan there last year but not doing that this year.

Unforunately, no, haven't been on that forum for years. Thanks for the info. I think we'll be OK with finding our way around. My wife is a master at researching our travels. I just drive the bus.

Poised to enter Maine tomorrow and having the old "can we take...... across the border?" discussion.

Today felt like a day at the Four Corners where you can change states by shifting a few feet. Left Quebec and entered upstate Vermont, crossed New Hampshire and entered Maine. Near Bangor now and will be in New Brunswick tomorrow

Very scenic route although it would be more spectacular in the fall when the leaves turn color.

Ron, It is spectacular! Last October we did a similar route from Niagara Falls to Dover, New Hampshire, with two days at The Baseball HOF in Cooperstown, NY. It was our first time to see the Fall Colors:

Thanks for the photo. We'll just imagine that we're there 3 months from now.

We were urban boondocking at Walmart last night. Second time since we left. Worked out well and the Amish potato salad from the Deli wasn't bad either.

Just crossed back into Canada and we're heading to Fundy National Park for a few days.

You're scaring me, I didn't mention the chicken and coleslaw in my post. You must be psychic.

We didn't have any poutine in Quebec but now we're starting up the Fundy Drive and it's lobster for lunch. This is the part we've been waiting for.

Ron lobster is fine but if you don't stop along Fundy someplace and bring a bag of fresh caught Fundy scallops to sear up with butter in the fry pan your whole trip will be ruined.

Right now it's lobster for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Well, not really for breakfast, they're not open for breakfast.

Never fear, we've only just started along the New Brunswick coast, we'll be feasting on the Digby scallops in a few days.

Timing is everything. Went up the coast a ways to a lighthouse viewpoint. Could see across the water to Nova Scotia. After lunch we went down the coast to a waterfall and the fog rolled in up the coast totally wiping out the view we had this morning. Timing is everything.

Really looking forward to those scallops now.

"Done to perfection, she said, as she finished her plate of Digby scallops, maybe we should hang around here another day." They were perfect and the setting was perfect also, sitting on a deck in the sunshine overlooking the harbor and the brightly colored fishing boats.

Then we stopped at an ice cream place known for having some offbeat flavors. We asked for two scoops each in a "small" cup. Their idea of a small cup is what they'd call a medium plus size at home. Great decadent ice cream. Went to pay. $4.00 she said. I almost fell over, that'd get about one scoop at home.

Back to the trailer. Hmm, why am I thinking that the great blueberry cheese danish that I got from the German Bakery may have to wait to be breakfast. Otherwise I'm going to have to a get a larger truck and not because the trailers getting heavier.

Digby scallops, made my day. Worth waiting for.

We'll be there at end of August ( no trailer ). What is name of venue for these scallops with a view of the harbour?

There's at least 4 places with water views. We ate at a place called the Crows Nest. There's a range of places, most, like where we ate are casual dining but there's higher level dining also. Don't think that the scallops would taste any better though.
