Also in IT since the days of paper punch cards. And frequently, because of work, required to maintain 5 or 6 email accounts. Now retired and down to 4 and heading to 3...

My vote goes to Gmail.

Another plus for gmail from a google fan. I use Thunderbird for my wife's local isp email address along with mine and float those emails automatically up to gmail so we can always get them there when away from home. You can also route yahoo and hotmail accounts there as well.

I'm a big Apple fan and have had the same @Mac address for 10 years. Apple makes it so easy to seamlessly connect my iPhone,iMac,MacBookPro, MacMini,MacAir plus "the cloud" that any new purchase will work with your existing. Course there is a cost to that convenience, they are more expensive.

This convenience is so great these days. I roll my eyes when someone says that their phone bit the dust, and they lost all their contacts, as there is just no need for that. I know Goggle has done this for many years now, which is why so many use it.

One of the reasons I quite using Outlook many years ago, is that unless I actually connected and synced my phone to my computer, emails and contacts were not shared. But even Outlook does this now, I understand.

I love that we can do this now. I have over 1,000 contacts in my phone (well, I guess all devices), including many past customers who I might never contact again, but as they are in a hidden directory, they do not show on my devices unless looked for, BUT should they ever contact me, it is so great to have all their info at hand, and I know before answering the phone, who it even is.
