Glamping in WA
Just got home from a 400 mile loop around Washington state trying out our new-2-us, E-19 (Tortuga) behind our '13 E-250 (Burrito). Loved every minute. Burrito got just under 14MPG on mixed roads/ freeway and the Escape towed real fine! Played around with the WD hitch and didn't really notice any difference in changing it up. Man do all Reese hitches squawk at low speed? I heard another squawker in the Camping World parking lot, looked over and it was the same model as ours! figures! Anyway we SUPed every day in a new location and found some pretty cool glamping spots. looking forwards to MORE!!!!

I thought my WDH was squawking once. I unhitched several times and the squawk continued. Then I realised that the squawk was coming from a LP tank rubbing on the change over regulator bracket. I readjusted and the squawk was gone.

14 MPG isn't bad at all for such a large TV. You've got more storage there than I'd know what to do with too.

our "squawking" is more of a moaning and groaning in different pitches. Let's ALL the campers in the area know we have arrived!

You get the same MPG as I do with my Sienna towing my 17 (smaller van, thus smaller trailer)! A full size van is in my dreams for crated dog space, but for now we're one of a select few minivan owners that only have the two front seats in a useable position
I'm in Lacey so you drove past me on the freeway too!

yes we needed the full-sized van for a portable classroom. we teach Stand Up Paddleboard courses for the American Canoe Association and will be traveling around the country next year. There's a LOT of room in there with only 2 front seats. It's an Ex- U-haul van with less than 3K miles! We spent sometime at the Cabelas in Lacey.
