Greetings From Louisiana

Chris and I are near Hackberry LA, camped along the Intracoastal Waterway, (also near Lake Charles). We spent 7 days getting here, crossed AZ, NM and TX, and will be camping at various places in in Louisiana till early November. Been in this spot 6 days, heading to Laffayette tomorrow.

We are traveling with friends who are in a Casita 17.

This will be our most ambitious trip so far. The trailer is home sweet home for now!

Anyone nearby?

Get some grits & eggs....no, actually get some of dis: Fat Tuesday Omelet
Tender beef and smokey bacon simmered in Marchand du Vin sauce, with melted cheese.

Or maybe this: Faitdodo (fay doe doe)
Means all night party, and this skillet dish is an all day party in your mouth. Creole red beans topped with poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce served with grits and grilled Andouille sausage and a biscuit.

Sounds delish. There are so many good regional favorites around here, I can already see we will be twice the people we were when we leave.
