After the Osoyoos Rally we're considering heading East on Highway 3 and dropping back into the US through Waterton-Glacier. Looking for any recommendations on campgrounds along that route. Thought we'd spend two nights before crossing the border. Thanks!

Although we have driven that route many times (its a beautiful drive), never actually camped along the route. Have you used the Allstays app or website which includes reviews as well.
Please also note that the road east of Osoyoos is very hilly, starting with the Anarchist Summit, which starts almost out of the campsite. Great views at the top.
Hi, while 1 have never camped at either campground (we are picking up our 21 right before the rally). I have made reservations at Champion Lake Provincial Park campground and then at Waterton Lakes National Park. From the web sites they appear to very nice. Champion lakes is boon docking and Waterton Lakes is full hookup but no fire pit. Hopes this helps, look forward to meeting you at the rally.

I do have the Allstays app on my iPad, but thought I'd seek out the opinions of locals as well!
I know it is just over the hill but if you have time to pull in, try the rock creek bc parks campground on the kettle river, just north of rock creek. There was a major fire in the area so the big trees are gone, but the river is beautiful. Or, make your way just past castlegar towards creston. Lovely bc parks sites there. Check out the bc parks website. There are many beautiful sites in the kootenays. North of nelson is a very popular campground kokanee creek. Well worth a few extra days exploring!
