Highway 2 Towing

Last year we picked up our new 21' in late May and went to the Customer Appreciation Rally. Afterwords, we spend 5 1/2 months in the NW and traveled both 2 and 20 on multiple occasions. Traveling mostly West to East and never had an issue towing with our 2015 Toyota 4Runner.

Both highways in either direction are a beautiful drive!

Highway 20 - Washington and Rainy Passes go East to West to try out your tow V. and its muscles first. Scenery is OUTSTANDING! Two lanes mostly with a passing lane shared. Some sections are 4 lane. If the weather is blue sky and beautiful, and Stevens Pass was a piece of cake, consider HWY 20. If its rainy, then Id save this pass for another time when you'll be able to see the mountain peaks and have better scenery.

Hope this helps,

Tom
That sounds like a good plan for us for our pickup Oct 26th, although we will need to keep an eye on the weather in case of any early snowstorms.

Although driving up from GA, we will be visiting a friend in Whitefish MT, and then head West using SR 20 through the Cascades, spend a couple days after our Sumas pickup at Maple Falls so we can get a peak at Mt Baker (if lucky), and then take hwy 2 back to the East.

Of course all that might change based on weather, seems like many of our nights up North will experience lows below freezing so I might have to hold off on filling the exposed water tank until we get further South.

It seems a lot of campgrounds close a week or two before our pickup date.
