Labor Day Weekend Escape Trailer Get-Away

Happy Labor Day Weekend to All,

We are stuck at home this weekend due to my "on call duty". How about you? Where are you enjoying your Escape trailer this last big weekend of the 2012 summer?

Starting to think that way myself.

But of course, family and friends are usually "doing something" on the long weekends, so its not always a possibility.

Re: Labor Day Weekend Escape Trailer Get-Away

Since I've been on the road since the beginning of May, I don't have the choice of staying home. I'm at Babcock State Park in West Virginia for the weekend. It was nice & quiet up until friday, but now the campground is full.

Re: Labor Day Weekend Escape Trailer Get-Away

Heading out this evening after I get off work at 11--heading out for three weeks..
Staying near Coeur D'Alene for three nights starting Sunday--then Friday we'll bespending a full week in Yellowstone then a week to make our way home via Glacier and Waterton Parks.
Haven't spent three full weeks in the trailer before--quite looking forward to it--cause in 3.5 years I hope to be driving all across Canada!!

Re: Labor Day Weekend Escape Trailer Get-Away

We stayed in the west campground in Rocky Mountain National Park the last two nights and it was only about 20 percent full. Very pleasant. I drove over Trail Ridge road this morning with very little traffic (we were early and probably beat the crowd).

Nice!

I'm spending all weekend reading forums and day dreaming about our soon to be 19' Escape; getting packed even though it's still a month away, and bugging poor Glenn (who's out there working to pay for it...) about more options and wondering if we've made the right choices about this or that. Sigh! :

Re: Labor Day Weekend Escape Trailer Get-Away

After the long weekend is now over we headed out for two weeks and most campgrounds where only at 1/4 capacity with most first come basis. On our way home from a 2 week trip through the northern Okanagan, Merritt, Logan Lake, Ashcroft, Savona. Kamloops, off #1 onto #97 Vernon,Kelowna, Bear Creek Park(nice park) and south down 97 to Peach land, Summer Land, two Days after the forest fire we turned onto #3 west and on our last night stopped in Manning Park and until then we never seen another Escape. As we did a walk about we came across this 15' with no one home. Most likely out doing some hiking trails or on bikes. Anyone recognize this trailer.? At 2:30pm the temp was 27c at our site. The night time low was 5.5c. We left early at 7:30am Fri to beat the traffic and get back to the rat race in the big city.Back to the grind on Monday. But it was a nice quiet trip with good weather, no complaints except it was to short. But they always are.

Hi: All... Labour day weekend was spent driveway camping at our son& daughter-n-laws home near Ottawa. We celebrated their anniversary, sons birthday, and grand daughters birthday. It was a wonderfull end to two weeks touring the east coast. Pic. of sunset over Bay of Fundy, Parkers Cove Nova Scotia.
The hard part was the 8hr. tow home in the holiday monday traffic...then back to work on tue. Alf

Re: Labor Day Weekend Escape Trailer Get-Away

Good for you Alf. I grew up A 10 minute drive from the Bay Of Fundy. I hope too to someday be able to take our trailer there. Its a long drive to get there though and would be tough to get enough time at this point in our lives to do it properly. I hope you enjoyed your trip, that is a beautiful picture.

Re: Labor Day Weekend Escape Trailer Get-Away

At Waterton Park today and tomorrow (been on the road over two weeks) have been through Yellowstone and Glacier Parks.
There are 3--- 17 foot Escapes here of varying ages-- haven't talked to anyone else, but its good to see!
Also a couple small trilliums and bigfoots etc.
