Congratulations!! That trailer has already been on a fantastic journey before it's first camping trip--very original!

Congratulations!
If that's the extended roof on the truck, it's a very tidy job - just looks like roof rack rails.
Are those the alloy wheels on the trailer, or just similar wheel covers? They look good, and nearly match the truck's wheels in style.

Was the beer from Belgium? Someday I want to return there to tour breweries, last time we were there we only visited two of them in Bruges. So many excellent Belgian brews!

That's the extended roof, it sure is a tidy job. Since they used roofrails, you can almost only tell there's a extended from when your looking at the truck from the back.

The wheels on the trailer are alloys.

Ahh yes, i saw that Escape sometimes gives some free businbess cards when delivering the trailer. They didn't make it to our trailer so that is a missed opportunity ,

Ahh well, i'll make some myself.

Have fun!

We just have to wait for our registration papers, they will be delivered via mail. Hopefully tomorrow, e;lse Wednesday, as soon as these are in we will be leaving for Italy.

I thought it would be nice to show you guys some of the stuff we already adapted/changed to our needs.

Let's start with the car:

Extended Roof
Special EU 5th Wheel hitch, first pice with the cap, 2nd pic ready to use.
Added plugs for lighting of the trailer and the electrical brake system.

TRailer:

Replaced the standard batterycharger for a 240V type, not the Xantrex one since those guys (in Germany) are not willing to send me a quote even after i called in twice and they promissed me a quote twice. That delay got me between a rock and a hard place so todat i visied the local Battery Guru and bought something else, not a huge loader but right on the money for the single 12 V battery. Still considering a solar for next year.

Placed a 240-110V converter. (for the fridge)
Cut the fridge 110V cable loose from the switch box and rerouted it next to the battery where i placed the converter. Put a local plug on to the cable, used the EU to US adapter plug and hooked up the 240V-100V converter to the switchbox.

Checked the switchbox and it acually is rated for 240V.

Changed the coupler for the Propane tanks for the local one. Cut out the metal plate which is used to put the propane tanks one so it will fit our propane tanks.

Replaced the powerplug on the shorepower cord for the local one.

That's about it for now, tomorrow we will be loading the trailer with the usual stuff, clothing, some food, some drinks, BBQ and then some.

Have fun!

Severinus and Yvonne
