Ohanapecosh campground, Mt Rainier Natl Park

On the (excellent) advice of others, we went to the Ohanapecosh campground in Mount Rainier National Park this week. Wonderful spot, nice hiking opportunities, great for staring at rushing water. It's dry camping, though there's a dump station and fresh water for filling the tank. Some sites are difficult to park in, but hey, challenges help develop character.

If you haven't been, I'd say check it out. Details of our visit, involving a dumb mistake, a broken tail light , and a lot of fun, here.

As warm as it is in PDX today, I could easily see myself sitting right there! Oh yes I could.

Nice pic!

We enjoyed meeting you too, Tammy & Ron. Rare experience (except at rallies) to pull into our camping loop and pass an Escape before we reach our site! Welcome to the 'family!'

Camping at Ohanapecosh

I totally agree with you. We've camped at Ohanapecosh and it's a great place. On our trip a couple of years ago, we camped just as parts of the park were opening. Luckily for us two loops of Ohanapecosh were open, FCFS. We had a great time. The scenery is incredible at Mt. Rainier.
